Wacky Will Wednesday – Angel Pantoja Medina

by Rania Combs on April 7, 2010

NB: This post is part of a series highlighting wills that contain some interesting, and sometimes bizarre, bequests and stipulations. You can see all these posts here.

Not many parents would feel comfortable having the body of their dead child propped up against their living room wall for any amount of time. But Angel Pantoja Medina’s mother wanted to fulfill her dead son’s last wish.

Before he died, Angel expressed a desire to be standing through his wake. So a funeral home in Puerto Rico used a special embalming treatment to keep his corpse, wearing a baseball cap and glasses, standing upright for a three day wake.

Seems a little creepy to me. What do you think?
