While doing some research recently, I came across an MSN Money quiz that tests whether one has enough knowledge to prepare his or her own will. The average MSN Money reader scored a 52 out 100, a failing grade.
Take the test here, and let me know how you did. (Hints: The Texas rule may differ from the general rule. Use last year’s exemption amounts.)
Update (March 24, 2011): I recently discovered that the quiz is no longer on MSN Money,possibly because changes in the law related to the estate tax caused it to be outdated. Hopefully, there will be a new one soon.
