PRICE LIST FOR LEGAL SERVICES

The following is a fee schedule for estate planning services involving non-taxable estates. The price is a flat fee that includes all communications. Estate Planning Packages

An estate planning package includes the following:

  1. Last Will and Testament

A Texas will is a legal document that directs how your property will be distributed when you die, and can create trusts for the benefit or your spouse or children. A will allows you to name a person you trust to oversee the management and distribution of your assets. It also allows you to appoint a guardian to care for your minor children.

  2. Medical Power of Attorney

The Medical Power of Attorney allows the designated person or persons to make medical decisions on your behalf if you are incapacitated and are unable to make them for yourself.

  3. HIPAA Release

HIPAA (the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996) requires health care providers and insurance companies to protect the privacy of patient’s health care information. Those who violate HIPAA are subject to civil and criminal penalties, including jail time, which makes them reluctant to share your protected health information without an authorization to do so. Your HIPPA release will name one or more persons who will be able to have access to all of your medical information.

  4. Directive to Physicians

A living will, or directive to physicians, is a document that allows you to instruct your physicians not to use artificial methods to extend your life in the event you are diagnosed with a terminal or irreversible condition.

  5. Durable Power of Attorney

The Durable Power of Attorney is designed to allow the designated person or persons to manage your financial affairs either immediately or in the future should you become mentally or physically unable to do so.

  6. Periodic Peace of Mind Review

Whether it’s because of an addition to your family, a change in your financial situation or simply the passage of time, you may request a complimentary review of your estate plan to assess whether your documents still accomplish your estate planning goals. If not, I will tell you how much it will cost to update your documents.
